Native forward, eco conscious, landscaping

We believe the best landscapes begin underground. We enrich every project with living, nutrient-rich soil—layering in organic mushroom compost, composted bark, and humic acid to set the stage for lasting life. Our designs feature native, Florida-friendly, and pollinator-attracting plants that support biodiversity and bring beauty that’s more than skin-deep. This isn’t just landscaping. It’s restoration.

With every project, you’ll receive a personalized vision plan, curated plant list, inspiration photos, and full installation. And because we care as much as you do, ongoing education, support, and clear communication are standard for BG. Each design is as unique as the landscape—and the people—it’s made for.

Landscape design

If you’re planning to source your own plants and materials but need guidance with the design, we’re here to help. We offer custom landscape designs rooted in Florida’s ecological heritage, featuring native and pollinator-friendly plants that are both beautiful and essential to our environment. Each plan is thoughtfully tailored to your site’s unique conditions — including sunlight, soil, and spatial layout — to ensure your garden thrives naturally, without relying on excessive watering, synthetic chemicals, or high-maintenance care.

This investment includes plant list, a hand drawn and/or digital layout, soil amendment plan & educational guidance & support throughout the process.

Pollinator Gardens

Bluebird’s signature pollinator garden is where beauty meets purpose. These joyful, flower-filled spaces bring butterflies, hummingbirds, and bumblebees right to your door—while quietly restoring the native ecosystem one bloom at a time. We begin by nourishing your soil with premium amendments, giving every root a reason to thrive. Then we plant the space with 30+ locally grown, sun-loving perennials, each chosen to feed and host Northeast Florida’s beloved pollinators. With a blend of color, texture, and nectar-rich goodness, these gardens hum with life.

Workshops & Gatherings

We don’t just plant gardens—we plant knowledge, too.

Bluebird Growers offers workshops for garden clubs, private gatherings, and community groups that love to learn hands-on. Nick, our resident horticulturist (and midwestern cheesemaker), leads a wide range of topics: from pollinator planting and herb gardening to cheese making and even coffee roasting.

We’ve been lucky enough to share these experiences at beautiful places like Jenna Alexander Art Studio, The Heirloom Yard, Congaree & Penn, Spruce Jax, Town Beer Co., and Make Space. Whether your group is large or cozy, indoors or out, our workshops are a memorable, interactive way to grow something new—together.

Learning Gardens for Children, Families & Communities

We believe that meaningful connection to nature begins in childhood — in the soil, in the roots, in the buzzing and blooming world just outside the door. We create learning gardens that invite children, families, and communities to engage with the natural world in hands-on, joyful, and lasting ways. These spaces are designed not only to be beautiful and functional, but to foster curiosity, wonder, and a deep respect for the living landscape. Our gardens are inspired by Montessori and Waldorf principles, combining native ecology with child-led exploration. They become outdoor classrooms, healing spaces, and gathering places — wild enough for bees, gentle enough for little hands.

Each project is tailored to the needs of the space and the people who use it. Whether it’s a small garden bed for a preschool, a nature path around a community center, or a fully immersive pollinator paradise, we design each garden to grow minds and habitats side by side.

Examples include:

🐛 Pollinator Playgrounds with safe pathways, open-ended play areas, and beds full of butterfly host and nectar plants

🧺 Edible Gardens where children can grow and harvest Florida-friendly fruits, herbs, and vegetables

🌱 Sensory Gardens with fragrant plants, textured foliage, and nature-based art spaces

📚 Storybook Spaces that blend planting with literature, outdoor reading nooks, and themed plantings

🌸 Seasonal Gardens designed to show changes through the year, teaching cycles of life, bloom, pollination, and rest
